Take Barack Obama—three massive, energy-guzzling mansions, including two perched right on the waterline. Apparently, rising sea levels are only a threat to your coastal home, not his.

He and Michelle lecture the rest of us about climate change, income inequality, and privilege—while living in the very luxury they claim to despise.

They tell everyday Americans what they can't do:

  • No gas-powered cars

  • No electric stoves

  • No affordable flights

  • No eating meat

  • No air conditioning

  • No private land use without oversight

Yet they keep the convoys, the private jets, the catered events, and the lavish vacations.

It's not about saving the planet. It’s about control.

After leaving the White House in 2017, the Obamas purchased an 8,200-square-foot mansion in the upscale Kalorama neighborhood for $8.1 million. Originally built in the 1920s and previously owned by former White House Press Secretary Joe Lockhart, the home features nine bedrooms, eight and a half bathrooms, and has been updated with modern amenities while retaining its historic charm. The neighborhood is known for its privacy and has housed several prominent political figures .​


Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts

In 2019, the Obamas acquired a 6,892-square-foot estate on Martha’s Vineyard for $11.75 million. Situated on nearly 30 acres, the property boasts seven bedrooms, eight and a half bathrooms, and offers stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.The estate includes a private beach, a pool, and ample outdoor space, making it a perfect retreat for the family .​


Chicago, Illinois – Kenwood Neighborhood

The Obamas' longtime residence is a red-brick mansion located at 5046 S. Greenwood Avenue in Chicago's Kenwood neighborhood. They purchased this home in 2005 for $1.65 million. The house features six bedrooms and is situated in a historic area known for its architectural significance. While the Obamas no longer reside there full-time, the property remains part of their real estate portfolio .​
